All the commotion downstairs was really starting to get to her, as people chatted, laughed, and broke the silence. Sure, silence was a well-known enemy of Pax's, but not when she was trying to nap. Then, silence was her best friend. But it seemed a nap was not in her stars, as the noise only seemed to escalate up the stairs and elevator shaft, echoing against the brick walls.
"Just when I was getting cozy, too..." she mumbled, getting up from her bed with a groan. Pax tossed her long hair over her shoulder, adjusting the oversized boyfriend's shirt she slept in so it covered her thighs. Scratching at her head, she moved from her bedroom to the kitchen, grabbed a water bottle from her fridge, and walked out the front door, not bothering to lock it behind her.
She took the stairs, her runner legs too active to let her laze down the elevator. Taking them two at a time, she made it down to the first floor in less than a minute; and took in the scene before her silently, unscrewing her water bottle top to down half of it as she gazed over the room. A lot of people here today, she thought, as she finished surveying the newcomers, as well as taking in the people she knew to take up residence in the city building. Peach was here, along with three newcomers; a young girl, a dark (and most certainly wet-looking) young man, and a woman who seemed to have her head strung perpetually from the ceiling, her back was so straight. It seemed they had all been here for a few minutes, as the soaked lad had removed his jacket, and Gladstone (God bless the crotchety man) seemed to be reprimanding the group for making too much noise in a "non-noise-permitted area".
Pax finished the last few steps of the flight and walked closer to Peach, giving her a soft touch on the shoulder. She looked out of place, slightly, standing before so many people who were in different conversations. Flirtatious ones, it seemed, as well. No wonder she looked so... what was the word...uncomfortable. "You can go and finish with the other place, Peach." She said quietly, removing her hand to place her water bottle on the reception counter; "I think Gladstone has you covered here. Don't you have new tenants coming to Origin?" It wasn't necessarily a conversation-starter--she knew Peach always had work to do, whether it was with her buildings or MyShape.
So she finished her walk into the common area adn turned around, facing the group. "Hey!" She called to them, hoping to break through their conversations, "How about we move along here. You're all kind of blocking the door, aren't you?" She smiled before turning again, her back to the group, and trotted to a chair, careful as she sat to not flash the hopefully following group.

Post by Aaron 'Quid' Owain on Jul 4, 2010 0:12:32 GMT -5
There was quite the racket coming from downstairs, thought Quid as he lay on his bed. On his stomach was a handsome, and very large golden dumbo rat lounging upon his belly. Quid's nimble fingers were scratching at the rodent's dumbo ears. He lay with just a pair of jeans on. There was a distant look to his face, and then he shifted as a gray blob's whiskers tickled his face.
Quid smiled as he reached up and settled his arms around Ben as the rat squeaked at him. "Oh, shush!" he chidded before picking up Despy off his chest. He slipped a loose, button-up shirt over his shoulders and tawny chest before slipping Despy into the shirt pocket of his shirt and buttoned it up.
He swooped up Ben and placed the ever cheery rat onto his shoulder and exited from his room. He headed down the stairs at a trot and peaked into the front room. "if there were any more people in here, we may want crowd control," he suggested to his pocket pets. Ben bruxed merrily in his ear, and the trio headed down the stairs and into the reception room. He smiled and nodded with a wink at Pax before giving a lazy salute to Gladestone and then looking over the "newbies" he spied in the room. The raven shifter smiled as he watched them, he roughed up the head of Despy before looking back at them and then figuring out who he'd like to talk to.

{OOC: sorry Frazle! I tried to post during it but I was so tired when I got home I couldn't XD Anyways I'm back for now!}
Rodric laughed at her comment imagining in his mind an animated version of the two of them in their shifted forms duking it out only to be eaten. The thought was morbid yes but it slightly amused him, though he wondered why she would talk to someone who could possibly be food. Still he was glad for the conversation. “Well I could always just fly away, being able to fly does come in handy in situations like that. Then again I would defiantly try not to make you mad at me. Seeing as you’re the only one besides Peach to give me the time of day.”
He shrugged as he looked at the other people in the room. Two more people had entered, one addressing everyone telling them to move from the door before sitting down. “Odd one…” he said silently though mostly to himself. Still he didn’t move, he would have rather be talking to Honor. “This place just keeps filling with people. Oh well, so do you have an hobbies?” he asked though the second the words left his lips he wanted to hit himself for such a lame question.

ooc; its ok Spade. It took you like 5 days though? Haha sorry. (: its like 4 am. this probably sucks but oh well. BIC:
A smile spread over Honors lips as she imagined her her long, elegant lioness body rippling through the air, her brown eyes filled with determination. She bounded off of rocks and boulders, passing between meadows and roads, the small robin in front of her, her number one target. She would swipe at the air with anger, finally knocking the innocent bird down, but in this case not so innocent, and of course, her being a predator lion with a robin prey in her mouth, she would eat it. But when he mentioned him flying away, the whole scene melted in her head, and she awoke herself back up to reality before another would reshape. "Not if I got you first." She teased, tucking a golden strand of her hair behind her ear. Her smile faded when he finished talking. She wasn't sure what to say, since she didn't know him that well. "No. People would love to talk you, but maybe you should talk to them first?" She said, mumbling the last part.
She smiled again, shrugging. "Sports. Anything besides art I guess?" She said, lost in thought. She was horrid at most things, but she was rather good at sports, and did have some manners and gracefulness. Honor sighed, her brown eyes looking around casually. Now, she was suddenly thirsty.

{ooc: No its was four days but one for me to recover since I got a stomach bug.}
Rodric watched as she talked when a smile appeared on her face and then disappeared. He was sad to see it go. Still he couldn’t help but wonder what thought had made her smile, maybe the thought of swatting a bird from the sky. He tilted his head remembering when a cat tried to do the same thing to him when he had shifted, the thought of the cat being ten times that size made him flinch a bit. It was funny to him to think of it that way. Though he knew shifters usually where violent unless provoked, or in dangerous situations.
When she muttered that he should talk to them first he was taken back for a moment. He never really thought of it that way. He had always been the person to wait to be talked to, otherwise he felt he was worth their time even if he had known them. When she mentioned sports he snapped back in his mind to pay attention though the thought rang in his head.
“Sports eh? Interesting, though you are probably right I should talk to people first. I guess I’m not that social, then again I did talk to you first and I see how good things can come from it.” He smiled wondering why she had sighed. “You know this place is getting crowded, want to go out for some coffee or something?” he said quickly glancing around the room. “I mean you don’t have to if you don’t want to.”

She reached her tan hand onto the smooth, mahogany countertop of the check in desk. Nobody was behind it, of course, which made her even more interested to see if people would actually fall for her being the receptionist, or what was behind the desk, anyways? She drummed her unpainted fingertips across its cool surface, her topaz eyes curiously staring at it. There was a stack of yellow papers, their rims crisp and stacked high. Out of the corner of her eyes, Honor could see pictures of animals, and what looked like names and some other details printed out beneath them. She read as much as the tiny print as she could, making out the words 'Paris,' 'Adoption fee,' 'home,' 'loving,' and some others. The thought of a pet made her feel nauseous and delighted at the same time. She had always loved pets, and they seemed to always be attracted to her. Growing up, she had kittens, cats, dogs, rescue animals, flowers, birds, even some rats and snails. She had captured everything. She had always dreamed of living in a low paying apartment in New York city, viewing the city, and she would have her dogs and other city animals. Or a huge farm and she would a million horses and cats and foxes, everything you could imagine. But now, she knew a pet was off limits. What if she hate it? How would she cope knowing she had ate the pet, who had become her best friend and she loved dearly? Her jaw dropped at the thought of that, and she quickly snapped it shut, turning her focus back onto Rodric, who was talking.
"Haha, thanks." She smiled, unsure of what to say again. Her vocabulary seemed to be running out. She wasn't sure if he was trying to get in her pants, or if h was just being nice, but either way she wasn't sure what she should say. She looked at her feet, before looking up again and smiling brighter. "Oh, that would be nice. I'm soo thirsty!" She laughed, turning away from him. "Oh, trust me I do." She said, beginning to walk away. She just wanted a drink. She sadly watched as Gladstone walked in, and now she was walking out before she got a chance to talk to him. "Oh well." She muttered under her breath, pressing the up button on the elevator.

{ooc: sorry for not replying for so long. I was forced to go on a surprise vacation where no form of technology was allowed :/ }
Rodric looked at her as Honor got from her chair and began to walk to the door. To him it seemed like she was deep in thought before he had rudely interrupted with his words. The way she said yes surprised him a little. Of course she might have thought he just wanted to get into her pants. He slowly rose after her looking at the ceiling for a moment wondering if this was a good idea. Rodric knew he probably should be out looking for a job or at least putting his personal possessions in his room but instead he was trying to court a girl. Or rather he was trying to get a girl to finally notice him, even as a friend would have been nice.
He walked slowly behind her till they got knew the door before seeing Honor’s eyes gazing at Gladstone before muttering something to herself. A small part of his stomach sank wondering if the two had anything going on. Then again a pretty girl like Honor probably would want someone as handsome and strong as Gladstone but it still made him a bit sad. Sighing he shook his head to forget about and walked quickly to open the door for Honor giving her a small smile.
“After you.” He said faking a bow.
