Name: Rodric Voltz
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Shift: Crow
Appearance: Rodric is tall but lanky looking more like twig than anything. However he is quite strong and has more quickness than anything. He has a scar along the right left side of his neck. His lower lip is pierced but he rarely wears anything in it. He tends to dress in vests, pants and boots. He dresses in rather dark colors so its harder to see the grease stains from being a mechanic. Rodric has two small crow wings on his back, they are rather gimpy and can’t be used but wont go away when he transforms back into a human state.
Personality:Rodric is a man of few words, when he does speak it can be either very insightful or very hurtful. Although he can have a sharp tongue he is for the most part a caring person who would rather spend a day in the park then clubbing somewhere. His is also an escapist, always looking for something to do to distract him from reality though his life isn’t truly that bad. He wishes to be something more than he is. Rodric acts like an old fashioned gentleman, he will opens doors for people waiting for even an hour till everyone is in, or pay for a woman’s meal.
He can have a rash behavior and jump into situations that can get him into trouble. Rodric is an avid gambler, almost blowing his inheritance quite a few times since he can’t resist any sort of challenge especially when it comes to gambling. Also he will get into street fights whenever he came to prove himself as not being weak. Usually fighting people to calm his anger or distract himself from an issue in his life. He is deathly afraid of airplanes as he has been almost hit by them once or twice flying. Even the ones on tv can scare him sending him to leave the room.
History:Rodric grew up with little to no help from his parents. At the age of four him and his brother where abandoned when they found our the Rodric’s brother was a shifter. Rodric refused to leave him, though now knowing yet of his ability stayed with his older brother. From that point on his brother raised him and helped him with the brother’s mechanic business. During his years with his brother he began to notice that he wanted to be a shifter like his brother, though his brother had told him that he had to be born one. He asked him how he found out about his power and his brother only replied he just knew. Then during the fall of that year his brother and him where touring Los Angeles when the pair where jumped by a gang in the area. His brother trying not to shift during the fight told Rodric to run, who obeyed but was chased by one of the members of the gang. While he ran the gang member shot him hitting Rodric in the side and in his panic he shifted into a crow and flew off. His brother saw and shifted himself into a wolf and sent most of the gang members to the E.R.
Now that Rodric had the gift he wanted he struggled with undergoing painful shifts whenever he shifted, and shifting back was sometimes harder than shifting into a crow.
At the age of sixteen his brother got into heavy financial debt, so Rodric began to gamble to earn money. For a while it worked, and he became known as a card shark though underage. Once he paid off his brother’s debt his gambling habits didn’t stop there and he began to seek other forms of risk to involve himself in. He joined street fights where he would gamble on winning a match or race with the local shifters in the city.
On his twentieth birthday his brother told him he was getting married. Rodric then felt it was time he forged his own life away from his brother.
Other: He is a gambler who loves to take risky investment that could make him rich fast. He is also a street fighter looking to have a good time with any opponent though most take him to be weak since he is slightly scrawny.

There is a funny thing about a bar. The atmosphere in some seems so happy, a drunken stupor that everyone is in that makes earthly cares all but disappear. Then there is another, the kind where the silence in the room is deafening. Where a man would lay swirling his brown elixir around thinking how the world went wrong. How the world had wronged him. Tonight it seemed to have been a combination of both. There was an overwhelming sound of laughter that seemed to fill the air with shouts of praises to each other and promises no one knew if they could really keep. But it was good for just one night. The scent of smoke seems to coat the air in its thickness. Over powering the any other scent that was know to man. It was almost welcoming though, at least for these men.
One man in particular sat alone. A cigarette hanging out of his mouth, a full glass of booze in his hand, his eyes gazed only at the ceiling looking but not really seeing it for his mind seemed lost in the darkest corners of his subconscious. He set his glass down on the table looking for a moment at the dark contents.
“Hey Rodric man what are you doing!” a voice called from behind him. Startled he opened his mouth to respond causing the half finished cigarette to fall to the floor.
Ah shit, look at what you made me do. What do you want?” Rodric answered with a frown as he began to swirl his drink around again.
“You have been sitting here the entire night barely havin anything to drink and just smoking away like a zombie. I mean come on man. We just got shipped back home from the war and you just want to sit here?” The man sat down on the stool next to him hiccupping for a moment before slinging his arm around Rodric.
“Dude you neeeeeed to lighten up, find a girl, have some fun and don’t be such a grouch. You can do that to much anyway.” But Rodric wasn’t listening. His mind was far in another place, somewhere this man couldn’t understand. Or maybe he did, but it didn’t seem like it. Rodric knew the guy wasn’t much a thinker, the only thing he thought about was women, alcohol and who was the target so he could shoot him.
“Naw, its ok. I think I just want to go home.” Rodric said taking one last gulp of his drink before getting up.
“Heeeell no! You are coming with me my dear friend. We are going to…” he paused for a moment scanning the room. His eyes then fell across the room to a girl sitting with another guy. Her face was turned away from his, the look in her chocolate brown eyes screaming to anyone that would take the boring man she was sitting with away.
“Her, that’s the girl. Go on man she looks like anyone could get her at this point.” Rodric’s friend said nudging him in the arm.
“Fine, for a minute. Then I’m leaving.” With a heavy sigh he left his friend, shoving his hands in his pockets forcing his way through the crowded bar.
“Hey, I know you don’t know me, but my friend over there keeps bugging me that I need a social life and told me to come over here and talk with you.” He said looking back at his friend, his words laced with sarcasm. The girl smiled at him pushing her hair out of her face. For a moment Rodric looked at the girl, it wasn’t like he had never seen a beautiful girl before but there was something about her that kept his attention. Maybe it was her hair that seemed like milk chocolate running down her back. Or maybe even her deep brown eyes that seemed to capture him.
“Well I should buy your friend a drink then. I was hoping for a more...attrative conversation anyway.” She said as she stood up grabbing her purse.
“Um what about your friend?” he said when the man she was with glared at him, mouth hanging open unable to utter a sound.
“Don’t worry about him, I’m sure he can find another girl to play with.” She said with a smirk before latching onto Rodric’s arm pulling him toward the door. At first Rodric was taken back, most women he had met before where less, well forceful. It was refreshing to see the youthful attitude in her.
During the night the two wondered the city aimlessly. Talking about everything, from the war, to marriage, even some personal secrets that Rodric felt he would have never shared with anyone, except for her. He figured this was what it meant to be in love. Unexplainable, a feeling of belonging, even when you know you don’t belong there, and the best of all a sense of being wanted. Not being wanted for personal gain, or for the good of some bigger cause but she wanted him.
When dawn finally began to waken the day the two finally had to go home. “You know, I really enjoyed tonight. It was..Just wonderful, I’m glad your little friend forced you.” The girl laughed lightly setting her head on Rodric’s massive shoulders looking up into his eyes. The where a dark shade a green, a sort of mossy color you could only find in the rainforest or some tropical undiscovered forest. He smiled back at her; his cheeks warm as he bent down to give her a small kiss on the cheek.
“I want to see you again…please...” he asked looking into her eyes pleading with her. He didn’t want this to be some one night stand. He wasn’t going to let her go, not when he found something so beautiful, so understanding, so real, something that maybe could be his and no one else’s.
“And please…I never caught your name...” he said one last time running his hand through her hair.
“Andrea…” she said, her voice a little more than a slight whisper. “And yours?” she asked.
“Rodric… its Rodric.” He said before the two departed leaving each other and the company they brought.

Sample: The sound of a faint name being called and spread apart words drifted on Arcel’s ear as she lifted her head finally awake. She groaned for a minute as she saw Rodirc only a few feet from her already getting dressed.
“Morning to you too…” she muttered stretching her limps before getting from the bed. Looking at Rodric as he finished she smirked at him who only scowled back turning himself away from her to head up the cabin stairs. Sighing she began to dress herself, thoughts drifting in the back of her head.
“Today’s it…” she whispered as she pulled her goggles above her head.
“No turning back now.”
Arcel looked above her at the ceiling hearing movement of feet and she quickly rushed upstairs to join everyone on deck. Rodric was already at work checking the engines, while Captain Eilicia was already at the helm looking at a map beside her. Arcel walked over to her looking over her shoulder for a moment before clearing her throat.
“Captain?” she said looking at the map Eilica held in her hands.
“What is it? You ready? You’ll be leaving here in just a moment once I’ve gotten everything ready.” The captain said without even looking at her. Arcel nodded as if saying to herself that she was ready.
“I was wondering if instead of the little boat I could use my wings. I’ve been working on them since I crashed landed with you guys and wanted to test them out.” Arcel said fiddling with her fingers. Eilica put the map down looking at Arcel for a moment unsure of what to say to her.
“You realize this test is serious, its not like the other raids we have been on before right? These men who you will be infiltrating are pirates like us and there is no way those wings will be able to carry a hostage.” She said in a serious tone. Eilica sighed heavily combing her hand through her hair.
“Maybe next time sorry.” She finished going back to her work. Arcel stood there for a moment defeated, she would not get into a fight with the captain. She clenched her fist and walked down to the engine room where Rodric awaited her with the little vessel she was suppose to take. Rodric glanced at her as he held his hand to the vessel gesturing her to get in. Arcel frowned as she set a foot into the tiny airship setting up her riggings.
“Bye.” Rodric said silently letting the airship drop to the skies.
The falling sensation filled her stomach as she pulled out the wings of the airship setting it a drift on the wind before starting the steam engine. What seemed like an hour passed as Arcel began to feel the cold air seep around her as she pulled her goggles around her eyes.
“Why does it have to be cold.” She asked herself as she glared at the night sky. Soon the lights of the enemy airship pirates came into view. Her blood began to pump faster as she pulled her ship nearer to the ship. When she was close enough she jumped to the back of the ship where they kept their supplies. When her boots hit the wooden floor she could hear someone coming. She ducked behind a barrel and waited.
“I don’t see anything…” a man stated as he walked past her looking for what made the noise. For a moment Arcel’s heart dropped thinking of how he could possible see her ship. Instead he walked back shaking his head.
“Its those birds again.” He said walking back. Arcel felt a sigh of relief and smiled getting back up and heading toward the cells. When she arrived there was only one guard in the middle of the room, with all the cells empty but for one.
Well that’s convenient.” She said as she looked into the room once more taking in a deep breath. Letting the breath out she slipped out a knife before dropping it to the floor.
“Who’s there!” the guard said walking toward the door a pistol in hand. With that as her chance she grabbed the knife from the floor and leapt out at the man ripping her knife though his throat so he didn’t have a chance to yell. Once she was sure he was dead she whipped her blade on his shirt cleaning off the blood and took his keys. With the keys in hand she went to the one filled cell slipping the key in and opening the door. With the door open she held her knife at the man before her.
“Mister Thassarian you are now under the captivity of the Time Gear pirates. Please come with me or die where you stand.”
