Love is a friendship
set to music.
Name: Pax Delia Ricci
Age: 22
Gender: female
Sexuality: straight (single)
Shift: Jaguar
Appearance: 5'6", 120lbs, blonde hair and hazel(bordering golden-green) eyes.
Personality: Contrasting her valley girl exterior, Pax is a bit for a sadist. She enjoys horror movies and hunting, as well as the smell of blood and the thrill of the hunt. Of course, this is layered beneath a mask of peace and tranquility, as standards must be kept.
On the outside (and upon first glance) Pax is generous, outgoing, caring, and downright sweet. She plays music for the homeless, volunteers at the soup kitchen downtown, and always donates to someone in need, even if she can't afford to. Truthfully, this is a part of her character, and its the part she wishes everyone else to see.
Because deep within her feline soul sits a beast, waiting to ravage its prey with tooth and claw. Peeling back her sweet exterior reveals a girl who's into the darker side of life-- one who revels in horror and gory movies, who wishes to only be an untamed creature. She's coy, at some times dishonest, and a stubborn ball of fury, wrapped in a venomous shell.
She hides the second aspect of her personality, ashamed of it. She was forced into that persona, and she has worked for three years to change it to something more personable...although, she still retains some aspects quite publicly. Her love of the "bad boy", for one...
History: Pax's father was a ringmaster of a traveling circus; a die-hard Italian man with a gut the size of Roma and a mustache to fit. Her mother, one of the performers, died during labor, but Pax's father hadn't seemed to mind so much; where he had lost a performer, he gained one in his new daughter. And so he trained her: first in acrobatics, then in magic, humor, and animal training. She learned quickly, eager to please her father, but it was never enough (no matter how many triple backpedals she managed off the high-board). This changed, however, when she hit her transition and began to shift.
Her father, intrigued by the shifting, began to use her as a showpiece, labeling her as the "Cat-Girl", the "Wild Thing" and many others. She was the main attraction, used as a tool for her father's business. And, after a while, he began to see Pax as only an animal, not his daughter. She she was treated like one-- chained, whipped, and ordered about to perform tricks like the lions, elephants, and horses. This led Pax down a long spiral of depression, angst, and hatred.
Abused and heartbroken, Pax made the decision to run away, two years into the abuse. Having no-where to turn, Pax was forced onto the streets, begging for food and shelter. After hundreds of kicks and a load of verbal abuse from the street, Pax stumbled upon a program in a church, teaching music to the city's children. Only 16, Pax attended the program and learned to play guitar, hiding her melancholy and macabre personality to better fit in with the other children.
After two years in the program, Pax had surpassed the teacher by far, her mind still sharp as ever. She was given a guitar and, with that, a new hope for herself. At 20 years old she met a young woman named Peach, who took her in and gave her a place to stay, among other people her kind. Now, she takes life a day at a time, struggling to find the perfect place for herself in this crazy world.
